Curl
Aberdeen is delighted to announce the return of the Aberdeen City Open Curling
Competition. With a new format and entertainment. We are looking for 24 teams
with teams made up of any four curlers. Teams will compete for the Aberdeen
City Open trophy which was kindly donated by Aberdeen City Council back in
2009. Prizes will be awarded to the top 8 teams.
The first round of
games will begin on Friday the 24th of March at 6pm. Teams will be
split into 4 groups of 6. All games played will be 6 ends with each team
guaranteed at least 5 games. The top two teams will qualify for the high and
low road with finals being played at 3pm on Sunday the 26th of
March.
Entry
fee will be £240 per team.
We
have live music at the rink on the Friday evening from 8pm.
On
the Saturday evening we will provide a buffet available for all teams which
will be served from 5.30pm and we would like to invite all competitors &
spectators along to the Dutch Mill after their games to enjoy live music and socialise
with fellow players.
We have arranged a deal where competitors can
receive £10 off rooms per night at either the Dutch Mill or Atholl Hotel.
